________________ A Meeting with Indian Ambassador to Muscat H.E Shri Anil Wadhwa His Holiness, Acharya Amrender Muni Ji, while on a private visit to the Sultanate, called on the Indian Ambassador H.E. Anil Wadhwa. During his 45 minute talk with the Ambassador, Amrender Muni Ji stressed the importance of humility and tolerance. He also stressed the need to avoid sectarianism and spoke of non violence being at the core of all his teachings. Amrender Muni Ji said that Lord Mahavir has said that all of humanity is equal, no one is white or black, superior or inferior. Everyone is the same at the level of the soul, everyone has rights. This was a very important statement of Lord Mahavir. For example, if you are the citizen of a country, you have the right to run for President. Whether you win or lose is a different matter. Just as every citizen has the right to run for Presidency, in the same way every aatma (soul) has the right to become parmaatma (liberated soul). In this way all are equal. We have created factions, such as Christians, Jains, or Muslims. These are worldly distinctions.Wars have been fought in the name of religion for three thousand years. In reality an individual who is dharmic, never fights. Peace, tolerance, and “vasudhev kutumbkam” Jain Educshantidentatlomessenger of pfac Srivate & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
