by a “Samkiti' regidly. Every Jain is supposed to have the knowledge of leymen code, but the various circumstances, do not allow to practice it fully and therefore there are practices to varying degrees, depending on the surrounding social circumstances, area of residence, et. al. In general Jain-way suggests twelve laymen codes to be followed and by doing so, the staunch follower is likely to be a good voyager towards salvation-path, a conscious environmentalist, a good vegetarian, a faithful marriage partner, a good parent, a good progeny, a good friend, a good citizen et. al. || Another aspect : is knowledge about
(a) 'Eeshwar'. (b) The deed - Philosophy.
(c) The system governing the conduct of souljourney of each 'Aaattmaa' and
(d) Universal make up. All these in the light of Jain belief. II (a) 'Eeshwar'
In other faiths, probably Bud-dhists are nearer Jain belief. Jain-way does not accept the thinking of an all-powerful ‘Eeshwara'. Jain-way describes each “Aaattmaa’ in the truely cleanest form as 'ParamaAaattmaa’ and believes that no 'Aaattmaa' escapes the 'Karma-Sattaa's - deed - judgement. Jain belief is that this universe is beginning-less and end-less. No single 'Aaattmaa' or a small group of ‘Aatmaa'-s have propounded the philosophy. Whatever the name given to the belief, philosophy remains the same. Before ‘Mahaaveera' philosophy was described as 'Nirgranttha’way. At present it is famous as Jain'. In new 'Kaalchakra' it may be differently named. şiloENRI - 3 ŞUIMEIRI - 3 0 0 dd allècu şuldz31-3)
