'SAMKITT' ACCORDING TO JAINISM
Shivkumar Jain Mumbai
Jain philosophy can be said, to be based, on ' Fixed merits' and who ever qualifies, can occupy the position warrented by those merits. Even in case of soul salvation, whichever soul attains the norm, is acheiving the Salvation. Thus Jainism can be said to be 'Gunna-pujak' and caste-less philosophy.
'Samkitt' means the 'right belief.' If the jain-way is chosen, the soul's journey for salvation can begin with the knowledge of basic principles and production of necessary will, to proceed on the jain - way. The soul is said to be acquiring 'Samkit', when it contemplates Jain-way soul - salvation procedure as a Jain 'Shraavaka'. So it becomes necessary to get enlightened about the basics of the belief. It is belived that a 'Paapa Karma' may have been cammited at a particular time but the resultant suffering takes time, before resulting, in suffering, which may extend to next few births. Soul salvation culminates into exausting of all good and bad-deed effects, gathered by soul. No other philosophy is known to me, which prescribes the elimination of good deeds also, before salvation.
