गीतवीतरागप्रबन्धः
Gommatesvara ). He specifies his spiritual lineage thus : Kundakundanvaya, Pustaka-gaccha and Desi-gana. He describes this work as Gitavitaraga-prabandha, Vrsabhanatha-vara-carita and Gita vitaraga: thus this poem GV is divided into Prabandhas and deals with the life of Vrşabhanātha, as indicated by the alternative titles used by the author himself. He composed it, being urged by prince (rajaputra ) Devarāja of the Gangeya family. The following verses, at the close of GV, deserve our special attention in this regard.

Panditācārya does not specify when he completed the GV. So one has to depend on the external evidence to fix the date of this work.
i) The date of the commentary of Bornmarasa is 1842-44. and we know that one of our Mss. is.dated 1758. So the GV is to be assigned to a period earlier than 1758 A. D.
ii) The author of the Sanskrit commentary on the Párśvābhyudaya? of Jinasena mentions himself as
1) Ed. N. S. Press, Bombay Is09.
