________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir गीतवीवरागप्रबन्धः day he welcomed two Cārapa saints, Pritimkara and Priyadeva, alighting from the sky (1, *1-8, 2-3). ix. Arya was full of fraternal feelings for the Carapa saints; and he enquired of them the reason for it. It was explained to him that Pritimkara was, in an earlier birth, the minister Svayambuddha, while he was king Mahabala; and that he came now to instruct him in the path of religion. Arya praised to his beloveds the virtues of saints like Pritimkara which generate indifference to the world, heighten reverence for religion and lead one to the bliss of Liberation (1-2, *1-8). He added further that, as king Mahabala, he was enlightened in the past; and now he is being served with the nectar of religion by the great Teacher who is a veritable mine of obliging virtues. Thus, feeling all the while indebted to the Teacher and meditating on piety, he was born, at the end of his career, as god Sridhara in heaven ( 4.6). x. In the Išanakalpa, in the Sriprabhavimāna, Śrīdhara woke up, as if from sleep. Immediately the attendant-gods reminded him of his assignments in heaven, incidentally dilating on his routine of bath, worship, diversions etc. (I, *1-8). At the end of his career. he was reborn as Suvidhi, a son to Sudşști and Saundaryananda, in the town of Susīmā in the Mahăvatsa territory of Purvavideha (2-3). xi. Suvidhi was a fine and merited Kșatriya. Once, in the company of his maternal uncle Abhayaghosa, he paid respects, to his joy, to the Tirthakara Vimalavā. hana. Following Abhayaghosa, he accepted renunciation and instructed his son Keśava on the duties of a ruler For Private And Personal Use Only
