________________ को दिने योग्य नहीं थे? परंतु जब अन्यतीर्थी को वंदना करने का निषेध किया, तब मुनिको वंदना करनी यह भावार्थ निकले ही हैं, तथा अन्य तीर्थी के देवकी प्रतिमा को वंदनाका निषेध किया तब जिन प्रतिमा को वंदना करनी ऐसा निश्चय होता है, और अंबड के आलावे अन्य तीर्थीका निषेध, और स्वतीर्थी को वंदना वगैरह करनी ऐसा डबल आलावा कहा है,तथा जो मुनि परतीर्थीने ग्रहण ए,एफ, रुडॉल्फ हार्नलसाहिबने भी यही अर्थ लिखा है तथाहि : ____58. : Then the householder Ananda, in the presence of the Samana, the blessed Mahavira, took on himself the twelvefold dare of a householder, consisting of the five lesser rows and the seven disciplinary vows; and having done so, he praised and worshipped the Samana, the blessed Mahavira, and then spake to Tim thus: “Truly, Reverend Sir, it does not befi.t-me, from this day forward, to praise and worship, any man of a heterodox community, * or any of the devas tot a heterodos community, or any of the objects of reverence of a heterodox community; or without being first addrešsed by them, to address them or converse with them; or to give them or supply them with food:or drurik;or delicacnes or relishes except it be by the command of the king, or by the command of the priesthood, or by the command of any. powerful man, or by the command of a deva, or by the order of one's- elders, or by the exigencies of living.
