९. [प्र.] भगवन्! औत्पत्तिकी, वैनयिकी, कार्मिकी और पारिणामिकी बुद्धि कितने वर्ण, ॥ गन्ध, रस और स्पर्श वाली कही गयी हैं?
[उ.] गौतम! (ये चारों बुद्धि) वर्ण, गन्ध, रस और स्पर्श से रहित हैं।
9. [Q.] Bhante! Of how many colours (varna), smells (gandh), tastes (rasa) and touches (sparsh) these are said to be-Autpattiki, Vainayiki, Karmikiand Parinamiki buddhi (intelligence)?
[Ans.] Gautam ! They all (types of intelligence) are said to be devoid 卐 of attributes of colour (varna), smell (gandh), taste (rasa) and touch (sparsh).
१०. [प्र. ] अह भंते! उग्गहे ईहा अवाए धारणा, एस णं कइवण्णा .? [उ.] एवं चेव जाव अफासा पन्नत्ता।
१०. [प्र.] भगवन्! अवग्रह, ईहा, अवाय और धारणा कितने वर्ण, गन्ध, रस और स्पर्श ॐ वाले कहे गए हैं?
[उ.] गौतम! ये चारों वर्ण यावत् स्पर्श से रहित कहे गए हैं।
10. [Q.] Bhante ! Of how many colours (varna), smells (gandh), tastes (rasa) and touches (sparsh) these are said to be-Avagraha, Iha, Avaya, and Dharana (the four steps of learning)?
[Ans.] Gautam! They all are said to be devoid of attributes of colour 卐 (varna)... and so on up to... touch (sparsh).
११. [प्र.] अह भंते ! उट्ठाणे कम्मे बले वीरिए पुरिसक्कारपरक्कमे, एस णं कइवण्णे.?
[उ.] तं चेव जाव अफासे पन्नत्ते।
११. [प्र.] भगवन् ! उत्थान, कर्म, बल, वीर्य, और पुरुषकार-पराक्रम, इन सभी में कितने वर्ण, गन्ध, रस और स्पर्श हैं?
[उ.] गौतम! ये सभी पूर्व की तरह वर्णादि यावत् स्पर्श से रहित हैं।
11. [Q.) Bhante ! Of how many colours (varna), smells (gandh), tastes (rasa) and touches (sparsh) these are said to be—utthaan, karma, bala, virya, purushakaarand paraakram (steps of endeavour).
