१०. [प्र.] भगवान् ! ज्योतिष्क देवों के कितने लाख विमानावास कहे गए हैं? [उ.] गौतम ! ज्योतिष्क देवों के विमानावास असंख्यात लाख कहे गये हैं।
10. (Q.) Bhante !How many hundred thousand abodes of Jyotishk devs (stellar gods) are said to be there?
[Ans.] Gautam ! There are said to be innumerable hundred thousand abodes of Jyotishk devs (stellar gods).
११. [प्र.] ते णं भंते ! किं संखेज्जवित्थडा.?
[उ.] एवं जहा वाणमंतराणं तहा जोइसियाण वि तिन्नि गमगा भाणियव्वा, नवरं 卐 एगा तेउलेस्सा। उववज्जतेसु पन्नत्तेसु य असन्नी नत्थि। सेसं तं चेव।
११. [प्र.] भगवन् ! वे (ज्योतिष्क विमानावास) संख्यात योजन विस्तार वाले हैं अथवा ॐ असंख्यात योजन विस्तार वाले हैं?
[उ.] (गौतम !) जिस प्रकार वाणव्यन्तर देवों के विषय में कहा गया है उसी प्रकार में ज्योतिष्क देवों के विषय में तीन आलापक कहने चाहिए। मात्र विशेषता इतनी ही है कि इनमें म केवल एक तेजोलेश्या ही होती है। (व्यन्तरदेवों में) असंज्ञी उत्पन्न होते हैं, ऐसा कहा गया था, है परन्तु इनमें असंज्ञी उत्पन्न नहीं होते (न तो उद्वर्त्तते हैं और न ही च्यवते हैं)। शेष सभी कथन म पूर्ववत् समझना चाहिए। 5 11. [Q.] Bhante !Is the expanse of these abodes of Jyotishk devs (stellar gods) countable Yojans (limited) or innumerable Yojans (unlimited)?
[Ans.) (Gautam !) On the same pattern like the three statements (about ॐ origin, rise and existence) mentioned with regard to Vaanavyantar devs,
repeat three statements for Jyotishk deys (stellar gods) too. The difference 4 is that Jyotishk devs (stellar gods) have fiery soul-complexion (Tejoleshya)
only; and among Vaanavyantar devs non-sentient (asanjni) beings are born ॐ but among Jyotishk devs (stellar gods) non-sentient beings are not born (or
die). Rest of the information is same as stated earlier. 卐 विवेचन-वाणव्यन्तर देवों से ज्योतिष्क देवों में अन्तर केवल इतना ही है कि इनमें केवल एक के तेजोलेश्या होती है। इनके विमान संख्यात योजन विस्तार वाले तो होते हैं, परन्तु वे एक योजन से भी म कम विस्तार वाले अर्थात् योजन का ? भाग वाले होते है (एगसट्ठिभागं काऊण जोयणं) तथा उनमें
असंज्ञी जीवों की उत्पत्ति, उद्वर्त्तना और सत्ता नहीं होती है।
