विवेचन-रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी में केवल कापोत लेश्या वाले जीव ही उत्पन्न होते हैं, अन्य लेश्या :वाले जीव उत्पन्न नहीं होते हैं।
कृष्णपाक्षिक और शुक्लपाक्षिक जीव-जिन जीवों का संसार-परिभ्रमण काल अर्द्ध पुद्गल ॐ परावर्तन से कुछ कम शेष रह गया है, वे शुक्लपाक्षिक और जिन जीवों का इस काल से अधिक काल तक संसार-परिभ्रमण करना शेष रह जाता है, वे कृष्णपाक्षिक कहलाते हैं।
चक्षुदर्शनी की उत्पत्ति नरक में निषेध का कारण यह है कि इन्द्रियों का त्याग होने पर ही नरक + में जीव की उत्पत्ति होती है। नरक में स्त्रीवेदी और पुरुषवेदी उत्पन्न नहीं होते, क्योंकि उनके भव
सकवेद होता है। उत्पत्ति के समय नारकी जीव श्रोत्रादि इन्द्रियों के उपयोग वाले नहीं होते. + क्योंकि उस समय उनके इन्द्रियाँ होती ही नहीं है। सामान्य (चेतनारूप) उपयोग इन्द्रियों के अभाव में
भी रह सकता है। इसलिए यहाँ नो-इन्द्रिय (मन) के उपयोग वाले जीव उत्पन्न होते हैं। उत्पत्ति के के समय जीवों के अपर्याप्त होने से मन और वचन दोनों का अभाव होता है। इसलिए रत्नप्रभा नरकावास में मनोयोगी और वचनयोगी जीव उत्पन्न नहीं होते हैं जबकि उन जीवों के काययोग रहता है।
Elaboration—In Ratnaprabha Prithvi (the first hell) only beings with pigeon-soul-complexion (Kaapot leshya) are born, those with other soul. complexions are not born.
Beings with krishna-paksha and shukla-paksha-a jiva (soul/ living being) with a time span of less than Ardha-pudgal Paravartan kaal (an extremely long unit of time; half of the time taken for an ultron to go through the complete process of all types of particulate
transformations) still to spend in cycles of rebirth before getting liberated 卐 is called shukla-pakshik (with a bright future); and a jiva with more time
span than that to spend in cycles of rebirth is called krishna-pakshik (with a dark future).
The reason for negation of birth of jivas with visual perception is that $a jiva is born in hell only when it is deprived of sense organs. Male and
female genders too are not born in hells because the intrinsic genderattribute of hell is neuter gender. At the time of birth in hell jiva has no sense organs and thus there are no active senses or inclination for the use of sense organs. But as the common inclination of perception is present in a living being even in absence of sense organs, jivas with active mind are born in hell. At the time of birth the jivas are not fully developed, therefore there is absence of mental and vocal association at the moment of birth in hells.
