प्रदर्पः, -प्रदृप्तिः f. Pride, arrogance. प्रदल: An arrow. प्रदवः Burning, infiaming. TEET: A forest conflagration.
प्रदह 1 P. 1 To burn. -2 To consumer destroy completely. -8 To pain, torment. -4 To trouble, tease. -Pass. To take or catch fire, be burnt.
प्रदग्ध p. p. Burnt up, consumed.

प्रदानम् 1 Giving, granting, bestowing, offering3 वर', अग्नि, काष्ठ° &c.; प्रदानं प्रच्छन्नं गृहमुपगते संभ्रमविधिः Bh. 1.63. -2 Giving away in marriage; वैखानसं किमनया व्रतमा प्रदानाद् व्यापाररोधि मदनस्य निषेवितव्यम् 5.1.26. -3 Imparting, instructing; fam. -4 A gift, donation, present. -BA goad. -8 An oblation. -7 Refuting, frustrating (खण्डन); असदेव हि धर्मस्य प्रदानं धर्म आसुरः Mb. 18. 45.8 (com.). -Comp. -कृपण a. illiberal; mean or niggardly in making presents. -2: a very munificent man, donor.
