Note 3, so frequent in Māgadhi and Paiśāci (where it is an evolute of -27. 07, 7), is rarely found in Apabhramśa. gaz here reveals dialectal influence (cf. Māgadhi pala Sk qafa ; Vide : Siddha Hemacandra VIII-4-294). 393. T - trat: 67' (Brazt: Hafa) In Apabhra nisa the root z is substituted by the adesa. प्रस्स Illustration : प्रसाद = Sk पश्यति (He sees). Note-- प्रस्सदि is either a. contaminated form ( पश्यति x gud); or, perhaps, has developed a spurious in its first syllable. (Vide : 3hatsfa apa i Sūtra 399 ). 394. AE -- eat: Tue ( 3112T: wafat) I' In Apabhramśa the root is substituted by the adeSa. गृह. Illustration - 92 już fi 1 l = 9C JETCAT AHI 'Study, after taking a vow (to do so)'. The meaning is : 'Read with meticulous care and concentration.' 395. 291-34fa-ari TTE-- ( IRIT: Hafia) 1 In Apabhraniša roots as etc. have ādesas ( substitutions ) gta etc. (1) Ferah fiqura 1891 ( = vzaleat) #217 afę prait staferona 1 .. ततः जगति गौर्याः मुखकमलेन सदृशतां कामपि अलप्स्यत ॥ “If, somehow, with the help of (lit. "taking') sharp chisels the moon is chiselled, then (alone) in this world it would acquire some approximation (lit. resemblance') to the lotus(like)-face of the lovely lady.” Here stiutra is the illustration of ga ādeśa ( of Sk 1701.). The use of the word f (= "and others') in the sūtra : indicates that such ) other verbs found in the Desi (speech) may be included here for illustration.
