In the last chapter we have dwelt on soul or jiva as an eternal self existent reality. We have seen also that soul is the cogitative al Freedom substance in the living world and that it has ever been trying to break off its adamantine chains of karma which binds it down to the mires of the world. From the fact that it has been incessantly struggling to free itself from the shackels of karma, that it has been ever striving to attain to Divinity by becoming pure and perfect through the dissipation of its own karma, we understand it to be constitutionally free and potentially divine.
