this stage shines in 'eternal wisdom, and delight infinite.' This stage is often known as that of jiban mukta; for there is an entire destruction of the four kinds of ghatin karma. There is still the operation of the aghatin prakritis in virtue of which the soul remains yet locked up as it were within the mortal coi!. The man having reached this stage, forms a Tirtha or 'Order' and subsequently becomes Tirthankara or Maker of the Order. These Tirthankaras explain the truth in the "divine anakshari" manner which is garbed in popular languages by advanced disciples. These anakshari thoughts or suggestions, whatever they might be, become translated into popular speech which afterwards are designated as the Agamas, the ordinary mode of conversation being altogether impossible for the Tirthankaras owing to the organic changes brought about by the severity of their own austerities.
