The present and future accounts of the Sarkar (i.e. district) of Sorath (who) have become exalted by the Royal favour and hopeful (of distinction) are to know that whereas at this time the best of the grandees (namely) Satidas the Jeweller, has represented amongst those standing [before us] in the place of the assembly which resembles paradise, that in the village of Palitana (which is one) of the Dependancies of the above mentioned Sarkar, there is a place of worship belonging to the Hindoos, that is called Satranja, and that the people of the surrounding districts come there on a pilgrimage.
