सम्राट्का शेषनीवन! पूछा:--" क्या तेरे कोई बाल-बच्चा नहीं है ? उसने उत्तर दिया:consequence, which Commences at the time when the sun enters Aries and is the beginning of the month of Farvardin. "
भावार्थ-नवरोजके दिन उचित कार्य करने चाहिए। नवरोज आवश्यक त्योहार है। यह धनराशीमें सूर्य दाखिल होता है तब प्रारंभ होता है; और यह फरवरदीन महीनेके प्रारंभमें होता है ।
इसी तरह दाबिस्तान के प्रथम भागके अंग्रेजी अनुवादके २६८ वें पेजके नोटमें लिखा है कि,-- ___The Naoroz is the first day of the year, a great festival. "
अर्थात्-नवरोज वर्षका प्रथम दिन है और वह बड़े त्योहारका दिन है।
इन बातोंसे स्पष्ट हो जाता है कि, नवरोजका दिन तो एक (वर्षका पहला दिन ) ही था, परन्तु उसके निमित्त १९ दिन तक उत्सव होता था। यह बात आइन-ई-अकबरीके प्रथम भागके अंग्रेजी अनुवादके २७६ वें पेजमें आये हुए निम्नलिखित वाक्योंसे स्पष्ट हो जाती है,
“ The new year day feast. It Commeces on the day when the sun in his splendour moves to Aries and lasts till the nineteenth day of the month ( Forvardin ). Two days of this period are considered great festivals, when much money and numerous other things are given away as presents : the first day of the month of Farvardin & the nineteenth which is the time of the sharaf. " ___अर्थात-नये बरसके दिनका उत्सव उस दिन प्रारंभ होता है जिस दिन सूर्य धनराशीमें जाता है। और यह उत्सव फरवरदीन महीनेके १९ वें दिनतक चलता है। इन दिनों से दो दिन बहुत बड़े त्योहारके 'माने गये हैं। उनमें बहुतसा धन भौर भनेक वस्तुएँ भेटमें दीजाती हैं।
