The latter, then sent Râmânuja to learn certain subjects, worth learning, from Rangian (Tiruvarangapperumalarayer). 61 After this Râmânuja returned to Mahâpûrpa, having learnt from Rangêsa, Satari's last work Tiruvôymoli the essence of this, the work of Madhurakavi, 12 Stotradvayamls with all its esoteric meaning. 62 Râmânuja, of keen intellect, under command again of Mahapurna learnt from Mâlâdhara (Tirumalayânḍân) the meaning of the thousand of Satari (Nammalvar) and that of Parakala Tirumangaiyâlvar). 63 Having heard from Râmânuja that a certain other interpretation may also be suitable for a particular passage, the teacher (Mâlâdhara) informed both Mahâpurna and Goshṭhipûrna of this. All three of them were well pleased with Râmânuja for his interpretation. 64 In this manner having learnt from the college of preceptors, the Vedanta with all its esoteric and apparent significance, the prince of ascetics lived happily in Srirangam with Kûrêéa, Vâtsêsa and other disciples. 65 At this time, Atreya Pragatharthihara (Kadámbiachchan) attained to the lotusfeet of Râmânuja (arrived at Srirangam) bringing with him Pillân, the son of his aunt and Sri Sailapûrus, the uncle of Ramanuja 66 He (Achchan) told Râmânuja of the boy's good conduct ever since his birth, his devotion to Yatisa (Râmânuja) and his wish to serve him (Râmânuja); and intimated the message of Srt Sailapûrna that Ramanuja would pay his worship to the God at Venkatâdri. 67 Having seen the boy, Râmânujs, then and there taught Pranathârthihara all the Mantras with their interpretations. Thenceforward Pranathârthihara became the immediate personal attendant of Râmânuja. 13 A decade by Madurakavi in praise of NammAlvar. 13 Two hymns of praise-one in praise of Lakshmi and the other in praise of Vishnu by Alåvandar.
