1. Prinsep and Canningham read tatha. Indraji reads itha ; Jayagwal, tathā, correcting his former reading itha.
2. Prinsep and Cunningham read riputhe ; Sten Konow reads civuthe ; Indraji, cavuthe; Jayaswal, too, cavuthe, correcting his former reading ciputhe. The appearance of ca as ci may be accounted for by the fact that rain water trickling down from the space between bahulay and pachimam in L 4, has formed a canal reaching the top of ca below.
3. All road oase. 4. Prinsep reads "vāse; Canningham, vasam; Indraji correctly, 'vāsam.
5. Prinsep reads a(ra)hata. Cunningham and others read ahata. In one of the impressions three letters are prominently brought out, the middle one as ha. It seems that the two letters, ra and ka, being somehow connected at the base, appear together as one letter, which is ha. Immediately after Vijādharadhidāsam, anyhow some. where in the sentence, we must expect to get the name of a place. But if the word coming immediately after Vijādharadhivāsam be read as an adjective, as ahata-puram, we get no place-name to stand as the object of the verb pasasayati following:
6. Prinsep reads puve or puba; Cunningham, puva. Indraji and Jayaswal read puram. I think the supposed va is nothing but a fissured ra.
7. Prinsep reads Kalimga or Kalaga. Cunningham and others read Kalimga. Jayaawal finally reads Kālimga.
8. Prinsep reads rājana e satu ; Cunningham, rājān... ; Indraji, rāja.namamsitam; Jayagwal, raja-nivesitam, correcting his former reading rāja-mamamsitam.
9. The reading from dhamena to nitinä is tentative.
10 Prinsep reads "pata dhamatita ; Cunningham, oata dhamatisapà ; Indraji, dhama. kutasa ; Jayaswal, vitadha-makute. The letter na looks, indeed, like sa. Jayaswal finally reads makuta.
11. Prinsep reads (sa)ra...rite ; Cunningham, doubtfully taijatite ; Indraji, pujita ; Jayaswal, (sa)bilamdhite, correcting his former reading sabichidate.
12. Prinsep reads nikhite. Cunningham and Indraji read nikhita. Jayaswal, too, reads nikhita, correcting his former reading nikhite.
13. Prinsep reads (a)bhigare(hi); Cunningham, higāre(hi); Indraji, bhimgārehi ; Jayaswal, correctly bhimgāre.
14-15. Prinsep reads taratuna; Cunningham, taratanam ; Indraji, tiratana(sa); Jayaswal, hita-ratana, correcting his former reading hita-ratana(sa).
16. Prinsep reads sapatena; Cunningham, sāpataye ; Indraji, 'patayo; Jayagwal. sāpateye, correcting his former reading (ratana)sā pateye.
17. Prinsep and others read sava. Jayaswal, too, reads sada, correcting his former reading sava.
18. Prinsep reads rathika or rathike. Cunningham and others read rathika.
19-20. Prinsep reads (bhojake) pā devam dāpayaati : Cunningham, bhojakepā devam dasayati ; Indraji, too, devam dasayated ; Jayaswal correctly reads vam dāpayati.
