(5) EXPLANATION :
Different men have different view-points towards the body depending on their spiritual state. Wordly beings, who are generally body - minded, look upon the body as a means of gratification of sensual desires. But to Yogis, who seek union with Supreme Consciousness, the body is a tool of gaining Right knowledge. Right knowledge reveals that the objects of sensual pleasures poison the soul with delusion. Thus no being who has this Right knowledge ever indulges in nourishing the body.
શ્લોકાર્થ :
આ શરીર (ભવાભિનંદી) સંસારીજીવોના ભોગ માટે છે. જ્યારે યોગી-જ્ઞાની પુરૂષો માટે આ શરીર જ્ઞાનસંપાદન માટે છે. જેમણે સમ્યજ્ઞાનચક્ષુથી ઈન્દ્રિયોના વિષયોને વિષ-ઝેર તરીકે જાણી લીધાં છે તેમને પછી શરીરની પુષ્ટિ કરવાની જરૂર નથી. (કારણ મૃતક જેવા આ શરીરને હૃષ્ટપુષ્ટ બનાવી તેને શણગારવાથી શું?) (૫)
ભાવાનુવાદ :
આ માનવદેહ ભવાભિનંદી જીવો માટે ભોગાયતન છે. જ્યારે મુમુક્ષુજ્ઞાની પુરૂષો માટે તે યોગાયતન છે આ શરીરને ભોગનું સાધન બનાવવું કે યોગનું! તે તેના અધિકારી ઉપર નિર્ભર રહે છે.
