(32) EXPLANATION :
This verse provides the master key to spiritual success. It stresses the need for focussed attention and effort in the process of spiritual aspiration. For this, even one single verse, which truly illumines the path of the Ultimate Truth is more than sufficient. Hearing, learning, mental churning, meditation and actualisation of the Truth stated therein, is more fruitful in leading a seeker to liberation rather than perfection of academic knowledge of millions of holy books with an intention to impress people.
The point is emphasised by the analogy of the Sanjivani herb. Heaps of ineffective herbs, painstakingly gathered, are only an unnecessary burden. Not only do they fail to cure the disease, they cause fatigue and frustation.
A single Sanjivani herb, on the other hand, restores life in a dead being. Similarly if one makes a single verse, an integral part of his life, it may become instrumental in his attainment of 'self-realisation'.

પરમતત્વ મોક્ષમાર્ગ પ્રકાશિત કરનાર એવો એક જ શ્લોક પણ શ્રેષ્ઠ છે પરંતુ લોકરંજન કરનાર કરોડો ગ્રન્થોનું અધ્યયન પણ નિષ્ફળ છે. જેમકે સંજીવની નામની જડીબૂટી એજ શ્રેષ્ઠ ઔષધિ છે. બાકી બીજી વનસ્પતિઓનો સમૂહ (રોગને નાબૂદ ન કરવાથી) નિષ્ફળ શ્રમમાત્ર છે. (૩૨)
