We, should remember that according to Vyāsa, the commentator 'on Yogadarsana, Surat, 1958, p.2, Yogah samadhi (Yoga is samadhi.) The term Yoga found in some of the canonical works, like the Uttarādhyanasūtra VIII-14 (samadhi- joga), Niyamasāra 137-139 (joga) etc. is used in the sense of dhyāna. Vide Desai, Loc. cit.
