Moreover the existence of tadbhavas, in general, in Kannada in such a large number may be said to reflect the resentment of eminent Jaina scholars like Nayasena (1112 A.D.), Nagavarman (1144 A.D.), etc., at the usage of Sanskrit words in the Kannada literary compositions. And lastly, inspite of some descrepancies in the method of treatment in this chapter, Kesiraja stands before our eyes as the first and foremost grammarian to render a notable service to the Kannada grammatical and lcxical studies, by collecting and leaving to posterity such a wealth of interesting words borrowed into Kannada from Prakrit and Sanskrit prior to 1200 A.D.
