consists of a portion measuring 60,000 Aaustubh stanzas. This commentary explains 180 Gathas of the Kasāyapāhuda of Acārya Gunadhara. The portion of the commentary measuring 20,000 Anuştubh stanzas was written by Acārya Virasena and the remaining portion measuring 40,000 Anuştubh stanzas was written by Ācārya Jinasena. It is written in Sanskrt and Prākrt. It deals with the passions of living beings.
(iii) Pārsvābhyudaya- This is the present work of the author dealing with the troubles created by Sambarāsura, the brother of the former birth of Pārsva. Sufficient information about this work will be provided at a later stage.
(iv) Vardhamāna-purāņa—The authorship of this work is ascribed to Ācārya Jinasena by Acārya Jinasena, the author of the Harivamśapurāņa. The stanzas, clearly stating that the Pārśvābhyudaya and the Vardhamānapurāņa were the works of Ācārya Jinasena, run as follows
याऽमिताभ्युदये पार्वजिनेन्द्रगुणसंस्तुतिः स्वामिनो जिनसेनस्य कीति सङकीर्तयत्यसो ।। ४० ।। बद्धमानपुराणोद्यदावित्योक्तिगभस्तयः प्रस्फुरन्ति गिरीशानाः स्फुटस्फटिकभित्तिषु ॥४१॥
