The psychophysical system is the union of soul and matter that constitutes the existence of jiva in its mundane state. The pure psychic energies, which radiated from the soul, interact with the karmic matter that vitiates its purity. Different species of karma obscure and distort the different qualities of the psychic energy, as discussed in this ch., supra. 9.2.2 Adhyavasaya - Field of Primal Drives:
"Depending on the quality, quantity and the intensity of the karmas, and the outer circumstance or stimulus (nimitta), their fruition produce the corresponding subtle most primal psychokarmic expressions called adhyavasayas. 9.2.3 Lesya Tantra: The field of liaison - aura:
These energy vibrations (adhyavasayas) are transformed into electromagnetic waves known as lesyas. It is a media body, which translates the deeper level messages into energy fields around the body known as aura (abha-mandal). 9.2.4 Bhava Tantra: Urges and Impulses
"Urges and impulses, the precursors of the emotions, are not produced either by brain or by endocrine. In fact, there are forces more subtle than those found in the physical body. They are produced in the microbody (karmana sarira) as a result of rise of the bonded karman (karmafala). Thus karmana sarira is the origin of all impulsive forces and the mundane soul is always enveloped by karmaria sarira. The radiations of psychic energy have to pass through this enveloping field and their interaction (called adhyavasaya) proceed further towards the gross physical body.
