विंशति अध्ययन [ 258]
जिस साधक की मोक्ष रूप अर्थ में विपरीत दृष्टि होती है उसकी साधुत्व में रुचि (नग्गरुई) व्यर्थ है। उसके लिए न यह लोक है, न परलोक है; वह दोनों लोकों से भ्रष्ट हो जाता है॥ ४९ ॥
Worthless is the keenness in ascetic conduct (nagnaruchi) of the aspirant who has perverse view about the noble goal (liberation). Neither this world nor that is good for him; he begets depravity in both the worlds. (49)
एमेवऽहाछन्द-कुसीलरूवे, मग्गं विराहेत्तु जिणुत्तमाणं।
कुररी विवा भोगरसाणुगिद्धा, निरट्ठसोया परियावमेइ ॥५०॥ इसी प्रकार स्वच्छन्द और कुशील साधु जिनेन्द्र भगवान के मार्ग की विराधना करके तथा भोग और रसों में आसक्त होकर निरर्थक शोक करने वाली गीध पक्षिणी के समान परिताप करता है॥५०॥
In the same way the self-willed and depraved ascetic transgressing the path propagated by Jinas and getting obsessed with gratification of sensual wants grieves uselessly like a she-vulture. (50)
सोच्चाण मेहावि सुभासियं इमं, अणुसासणं नाणगुणोववेयं।
मग्गं कुसीलाण जहाय सव्वं, महानियण्ठाण वए पहेणं॥५१॥ मेधावी साधक ज्ञानगुण से युक्त इस हितशिक्षा-सुभाषित को सुनकर कुशील-आचारभ्रष्ट सब साधुओं के मार्ग को छोड़कर महानिर्ग्रन्थों के पथ का अनुगमन करे॥५१॥
Having heard this wisdom enriched beneficial advice, an ingenious aspirant should abandon the path of all disgraced ascetics (transgressors of the code of conduct) and follow the path of great accomplished ascetics. (51)
चरित्तमायारगुणन्निए तओ, अणुत्तरं संजम पालियाणं। . .
निरासवे संखवियाण कम्म, उवेइ ठाणं विउलुत्तमं धुवं॥५२॥ चारित्र-आचार तथा ज्ञान आदि गुणों से संपन्न निर्ग्रन्थ निराम्रव होता है। वह उत्कृष्ट शुद्ध संयम का पालन कर तथा कर्मों का क्षय करके विपुल, उत्तम, ध्रुव स्थान-मोक्ष को प्राप्त कर लेता है॥५२॥
An ascetic endowed with virtues including ascetic-praxis and right knowledge is free from inflow of karmas. Practicing the superb and pure ascetic-discipline he sheds all the karmas to attain the loftiest, best and eternal state, liberation. (52)
एवुग्गदन्ते वि महातवोधणे, महामुणी महापइन्ने महायसे।
महानियण्ठिज्जमणिं महासुयं, से काहए महया वित्थरेणं॥५३॥ इस प्रकार कर्मों का क्षय करने में उग्र, महातपोधन, महाप्रतिज्ञ, जितेन्द्रिय, महायशस्वी उन मुनि ने महानिर्ग्रन्थीय महाश्रुत का अति विस्तारपूर्वक कथन किया। ५३ ।।
Thus that ascetic, the vigourous destroyer of karmas, the great observer of austerities, the most steadfast in resolve, the victor of senses and the highly glorious, narrated in great detail the great ascetic-sermon. (53)
