सचित्र उत्तराध्ययन सूत्र
Then (after being gripped by passions, auxiliary passions and perversions) that joy seeking aspirant comes across many occasions (in the form of indulgence in sins and acquisitions) of getting submerged in the ocean of delusion and removal of miseries, and that covetous (as well as hateful and deluded) person exerts himself to get free of those imaginary miseries. (105)
विरज्जमाणस्स य इन्दियत्था, सद्दाइया तावइयप्पगारा।
न तस्स सव्वे वि मणुन्नयं वा, निव्वत्तयन्ती अमणुन्नयं वा॥१०६॥ शब्द आदि जितने भी इन्द्रियों के विषय हैं, वे विरक्त चित्त वाले व्यक्ति के मन में अमनोज्ञता अथवा मनोज्ञता का भाव उत्पन्न नहीं करते हैं॥१०६॥
All the objects of senses, including sound, do not generate pleasant or unpleasant feelings in the mind of a person with attitude of detachment. (106)
एवं ससंकप्पविकप्पणासुं, संजायई समयमुवट्ठियस्स। __ अत्थे य संकप्पयओ तओ से, पहीयए कामगुणेसु तण्हा॥१०७॥ मेरे अपने ही संकल्प-राग-द्वेष, मोह रूप अध्यवसाय तथा विकल्प-मनोज्ञ-अमनोज्ञ की कल्पनाएँ ही सभी प्रकार के दोषों का कारण हैं, जो इस प्रकार के चिन्तन में उद्यत होता है तथा इन्द्रिय विषय दुःखों के मूल नहीं हैं-जो इस प्रकार का संकल्प करता है। उसके मन में समता उत्पन्न होती है और उससे काम गुणों में होने वाली तृष्णा क्षीण हो जाती है। १०७॥
One who indulges in contemplation that his own desires (attachment, aversion and delusion) and ambiguities (thoughts of pleasant and unpleasant) are the cause of all faults and the objects of senses are not at the root miseries, he gains equanimity and thereby his craving for sensual pleasures diminishes and gets destroyed. (107)
स वीयरागो कयसव्वकिच्चो, खवेइ नाणावरणं खणेणं। . तहेव जं दंसणमावरेइ, जं चऽन्तरायं पकरेइ कम्मं॥१०८॥
वह कृतकृत्य बना हुआ वीतराग आत्मा क्षणभर में (अल्प समय में) ज्ञानावरण कर्म को क्षीण करता है तथा दर्शन का आवरण करने वाले दर्शनावरण कर्म एवं अन्तराय कर्म को नष्ट कर देता है॥ १०८॥
That accomplished detached soul destroys the knowledge obstructing karma within a moment (very soon) and then he destroys the perception/faith obstructing karma followed by power hindering karma. (108)
सव्वं तओ जाणइ पासए य, अमोहणे होइ निरन्तराए।
अणासवे झाणसमाहिजुत्ते, आउक्खए मोक्खमुवेइसुद्धे॥१०९॥ तत्पश्चात् वह संसार के सभी भावों को जानता-देखता है। मोहनीय और अन्तराय कर्म से रहित होकर आम्रवरहित (अनासव) हो जाता है। (तदनन्तर) वह ज्ञान समाधि से युक्त हुआ, आयुक्षय होने पर, शुद्ध होकर मोक्ष को प्राप्त कर लेता है॥ १०९॥
