चतुस्त्रिंश अध्ययन [488]
A person who abandons the grim and agitated states of mind, indulges in pious and pure meditation, has attained serenity (of sentiment, mind and psyche), subjugates the self, is alert with five circumspections and restrained with three restraints,- (31)
सरागे वीयरागे वा, उवसन्ते जिइन्दिए।
एयजोग-समाउत्तो, सुक्कलेसं तु परिणमे॥३२॥ ऐसा मानव चाहे सरागी हो अथवा वीतरागी हो (लेकिन) जो उपशांत हो, जितेन्द्रिय हो-इन योगों (लक्षणों) से युक्त मानव शुक्ललेश्या में परिणत होता है॥ ३२॥
Is tranquil and victorious over senses, irrespective of having attachment or not, - a man having these symptoms (attributes and habits) is said to have been turned into one having white soul-complexion. (32) (८) स्थानद्वार
असंखिज्जाणोसप्पिणीण, उस्सप्पिणीण जे समया।
संखाईया लोगा, लेसाण हुन्ति ठाणाइं॥३३॥ असंख्यात अवसर्पिणी और उत्सर्पिणी कालों के जितने समय होते हैं तथा संख्यातीत (अगणित) लोकों के जितने आकाश-प्रदेश होते हैं, लेश्याओं के उतने ही स्थान होते हैं॥ ३३ ॥ (8) Sthaan dvara (variety)
There are as many varieties of soul-complexions as there are Samayas (últimate fraction of time) in innumerable Avasarpinis and Utsarpinis (regressive and progressive cycles of time) and as there are space points in innumerable Loks (universes). (33) (९) स्थितिद्वार
मुहुत्तद्धं तु जहन्ना, तेत्तीसं सागरा मुहत्तऽहिया।
उक्सोसा होइ ठिई, नायव्वा किण्हलेसाए॥३४॥ कृष्णलेश्या की जघन्य स्थिति मुहूर्तार्ध (अन्तर्मुहूर्त) होती है और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति एक मुहूर्त अधिक तेतीस सागर प्रमाण जाननी चाहिए ॥ ३४॥ (9) Sthiti dvara (duration)
Know that the minimum duration of black soul-complexion is Muhurtaardh (less than 48 minutes; Antarmuhurt) and maximum duration is one Antarmuhurt more than thirty-three Sagaropam. (34)
मुहत्तद्धं तु जहन्ना, दस उदही पलियमसंखभागमब्भहिया।
उक्कोसा होइ ठिई, नायव्वा नीललेसाए॥३५॥ नीललेश्या की जघन्य (कम से कम) स्थिति मुहूर्तार्ध (अन्तर्मुहूर्त) होती है और उत्कृष्ट (अधिक से अधिक) स्थिति पल्योपम के असंख्यातवें भाग अधिक दस सागर की जाननी चाहिए॥ ३५॥
The minimum duration of blue soul-complexion is Muhurtaardh (less than 48 minutes; Antarmuhurt) and maximum duration is uncountable fraction of one Palyopam more than ten Sagaropam. (35)
