So scorpion' seems to be a speclalized sense. आल- means 'animal poison' and abhidhanacintamans gives आलास्य-as a synonym of नक- 'crocodile'. 5. DN. 5, 29 : थेरो के, com थेरो ब्रह्मा. The name of the dialect is गोल्ला and not गौडी as surmised by Denielou and Bhatt. Golla country, as a part of Maharastra is well known in medieval literature For example MW notes the word from Hemacandra's Parisistaparvan, and PSM. from Malayagiri's Avasyaka commentary. Itemsidentified : 1. छाइल्लो जोइक्खो "lamp' 2. पुल्ली-वग्यो tiger' 3. पडसुवो सद्दो 'sound' (10. possibly 'echo'). 4. आलासो-विसकीडो 'poisonous worm'. थेरो-विरिंचो .God Brahma' [७. कासीरीन काश्मीरी] DB कासीरी अपयट्टो मोरो केलो नरा हिवो तुंगो । विच्छेए तु विलासो तह सूरो पूरणो भणिभो ॥१४ R. कासीरीए पइठो मोरो केलो' नराहिवो तुंगो । विच्छेओ हु विलासो तह सुप्पो पूरणो मणिओ ॥ Notes : कासीरीए पश्ठो काश्मीर्या प्रदिष्टः (Indicated') or प्रदृष्टः ("scen'). 1 केलो मोरो 'peacock' is otherwise unknown is this possibly a corruption of चोरो थेणो ? 2 तंगो meaning नराहियो 'prince' is also otherwise unknown. Names of many Rastrakuta kings ended in -तुक. 3. DN 7, 90. विलास-जषणेसु विच्छेओ. 4. DN. 6, 56 पूरण सुप्पे According to PSM. सुप्प- is also mas. culine, Itoms identified: 3. विच्छेओ-विलासो edalliance', 'amorous sport', 4. पूरणोन्मुप्पो "winnowing basket'.
