________________ H C. Bhayant Notes [१२. ---] DB. तह वोलिया सहारो भल्लर पिसु x x x x सन्वेय । पिंगल(त) त नारी कटार इत्तेहो ।।१९ Nothing can be definitely made out of this passage except that og 18 a corruption of you, Daniélou and Bbatt have suggested पिसाइमनेय as an emendation of पिसु....सम्वेयं in the first line But there is nothing to support this guesa. It is more likely that पिस... stood for पिसणो or पिसणिय It can be also suggested that the second line began with सव्वेयं (or सन्वेय); the second line as it is, is short by five Matras There is also nothing to support the word division given by Daniélou and Bhatt with the exception of the word मल्लह (1.c. भण्णइ). The name of the dialect alao cannot be made out, It is likely to have been in the lost portion, Or is it given In the beginning? [१३. मेच्छी / म्लेच्छी] DB. म्ले(मे)च्छीए पुल भणियो तप्पिलि चहारी xxxx गुज्जीतेल आदठी जहा पुल्ल ॥२० Notes : The name of the dialect 18 tot 10. ooft. Tho first portion la to be read मेच्छीए पुण भणिओ No Desya item or its gloss can be identified from the rest The second line also is metrically defec. tive and it is short by some eight Matras. In verse 2 also the Ms. reads Exरिका which is to be taken as तुषारिका (or तुखारिका) and not as तुरानिका as wrongly guessed by Danielou and Bhatt. 1. संथार- (Sk. संस्तार-) and सत्थर- (Sk. सस्तर-) are commonly used to Prakrit in the sense of bed,
