________________ Lesson - 1 Auspicious Observance Obeisance to Arahantas (embodied spiritually perfect personalities). Obeisance to Siddhas (disembodied spiritually perfect souls). Obeisance to Ācāryas (propagators of ethico-spiritual values). Obeisance to Upadhyāyas (teachers of ethico-spiritual values). Obeisance to all the Sädhus (pious personalities) in the world. 2. This five-fold obeisance is the destroyer of all the vices and (so) among all the auspicious observances (this) becomes the fore-most auspicious observance. 3. Arahantas are auspicious. Siddhas are auspicious. Sadhus are auspicious. Dharma (ethico-spiritual values) preached by the omniscient is auspicious. 4. Arahantas are excellent in the world. Siddhas are excellent in the world. Sadhus are excellent in the world. Dharma (ethico-spiritual values) preached by the omniscient is excellent in the world.
