Those ascetics (Munies) who practise the Tapa (austerities) of Pariharavisuddhi (Caritra) (purifactory conduct through intensive penance) for first six months. parihārikāh prathamatah şanmāsān prastutam tapo vahanti. The ascetic (Muni) who is performing the Parihāra Tapa (Prāyascitta (expiation)); the duration of this Tapa (penance) is from one to six months. pāyacchittamaņāvanno aparihārio, āvanno māsātijāva-chammāsiyam so parihario.
