Sāmvyavahārika Pratyakşa Empirical immediate (direct) cognition-That Pratyakşa (immediate or direct cognition), which is dependent upon the sense-organs and the mind, and is manifested in the form of Avagraha (sensation), īhā (speculation), Avāya (perceptual judgement) and Dhāraņā (retention). indriyamanonimitto'vagrahehāvāyadhāraṇātmā sāmvyayahārikam. (Prami 1.1.20) Sāmsayika A type of Mithyātva (perverse faith); that view on account of which a doubt is created about the veracity of Deva (4) (ford-founder), Guru (2), Dharma (1) (spiritual doctrine), in the form-'whether this is truth or that?'. sāmśayikam devagurudharmeşu'ayamayam vā' iti samśayānasya bhavati.
