जातं जयन्तमिव शाभृिता समस्य यस्याग्रजान्मघवतो नरसिंहरायात् । वृद्धश्रवःप्रियगुणं विबुधैरुपेयमानन्दरायमखिनं कथयन्ति सन्तः ॥ १३ ॥ शहजिक्षितीन्द्रसचिवे तस्मिन्पोषयति रामभद्रमखी । लम्भितमनःप्रसादो रचयितुमधुनाहमुत्सहे ग्रन्थान् ॥ १४ ॥
Paribháshávrittivyakhyána by Râmabhadra-Diksbite. Anandsråyamakhin continued as minister and general during the reigns of Sarabhôji I. and Takkoii. He defeated in A. D. 1725 the combined forces of the Nayaka of Madura and the Toqdaman of Pudukkottai, both of whom espoused the cause of Tandatêvan, a claimant for the Marava Chiefship of Râmnâd in opposition to Bhavânisam kara. This fact is borne out by the subjoined extract from the Tanjore District Manual, p. 771 f., paragraph 14:* In 1725, on the death of Vijayaraghunatha, the adopted son of the infamous Kilavan' (old man) who persecuted and brutally murdered the Portuguese Jesuit Missionary, John D. Britto (1693), the right of succession to the Maravan Chiefship became the subject of violent contest, attended with bloodsbed, between two rival claimants, Tandatevan, a descendant in a collateral branch of a former Chief, and Bhavanicankara, an illegitimate son of Kilavan. The latter's, cause was espoused by the Rajah of Tanjore, while the Nayak at Madura and the Tondaman of Pudukkottai (Poodoocottah) supported the former. The troops of Madura and Padukkottai, however, were put to flight by the Tanjore general, Ânanda Rao Peshva, who having seized and slain Tanda, put Bhavanicankara in possession of the country."
Åpandariyamakhin died probably in the latter part of Takköjt's reign and was succeeded by Ghapaśyamapandita, generally known as Chaundajipant. The Jivdnandananálaka was composed during the reign of Sahaji I. गुरुदेवद्विजभक्तो नैमित्तिकनित्यकाम्यकर्मपरः । दीनजनाधीनदयो विहरति समरे च विक्रमार्क इव ॥ यः स्नातोज्जनि दिव्यसिन्धुसलिले यः स्वात्मविद्याश्रितो येनाकारि सहस्रदक्षिणमखो यः सद्भिराश्रीयते । सोऽयं त्र्यम्बकराययज्वतिलको विद्वत्कवीनां प्रभो- . यत्तातस्य नृसिंहरायमखिनस्तुल्यप्रभावोऽनुजः ॥
सूत्रधारः-(विहस्य) मारिष, त्वं न जानासि यत एवं ब्रवीषि । शृणु तावत् ।।
आ बाल्यादपि पोषितोञ्जनि मया प्रेम्णा तथा लालितस्तेनासी सरसामुपेतु कवितामानन्दरायाध्वरी । इत्येकक्षितिपालवंशजलधैर्देव्या गिरा जातया श्रीशाहावनिनायकाकृतिभृता नूनं प्रसादः कृतः॥ ..
