If an inscription of one king asserts that he conquered another, it scarcely proves more than that the two were contemporaries.89
The mutilated verses 27 and 28 seem to have coutinued the description of the reign of Kirtivarman. Verse 29 begins:- 'His son, of wonderful . . . . ., was .. . . . . The remainder of the inscription is lost.
