1877-78 Size — 104 in. by 44 in. Extent — 22 leaves, 15 lines to a page, 60 letters to a line. Description-Country paper. Devanagari characters with पृष्ठमात्राs,
clear and legible writing, fairly accurate. Margins care.... fully ruled in red, red and yellow powders used. Square
blanks in the centre. The first leaf much damaged. Complete in 8 Adhyāyas, after which are given some
परिभाषाs. Age -Is considerably old in appearance. Author - Hemacandra. Subject - Aphorisms of grammar according to Hemacandra. The
work is divided into 8 Adhyāyas the last of which deals with Prakrit. The total number of sūtras in all the 8 Adhyayas is 4664, of which the last Adhyaya alone
gives 1107. Begins - ॐ ॥ भईम् ॥ सिद्धिः स्याद्वादात् ।। लोकात् ।। औदंताः स्वराः । एकद्वित्रि
मात्रा हवदीघप्लुताः ॥ End of 7th Adhyāya - आसन्नः ॥ संबंधिनां संबंधे ॥ समर्थः पदविधिः ॥ सप्तमो.
ध्यायः समाप्तः ॥ Begins, Adhyāya 8th, (fol. 17a)-अथ प्राकृतं बहुलं ॥भाष ॥
दीर्घहस्वौ मिथो वृत्तौ ।। पदयोः संधिर्वा ॥ At the end of the first gre of this speare we have--
यहोमंडलकुंडलीकृतधनुदंडेन सिद्धाधिप क्रीतं वैरिकुलात्त्वया किल दलत्कुंदावदातं यशः। भ्रांत्वा त्रीणि जगंति खेदविवशं तन्मालवीनां व्यधात्
तत्पाण्योः स्तनमंडले च धवले गंडस्थले च स्थितिम् ॥ End of Adhyaya 8 – लिंगमतंत्रं ॥ शौरसेनीवत् ।। व्यत्ययश्च ॥ शेष संस्कृत.
वस्सिद्धं ।। ४४७ ॥ इत्याचार्यश्रीहेमचंद्रविरचितायां(1) सिद्धहेमचंद्राभिधान. स्वोपज्ञशब्दानुशासनेऽष्टमस्याध्यायस्य चतुर्थः पादः ॥ छ॥
