It comes from Kashmira.

A short metrical treatise on the peculiarities of the Prakrit dialects, followed by a running gloss on the same. Begins ॐ नमो गुरवे ॥
मुखतो लिखितोल्लासाः शक्तिमतः षण्मुखस्य षड्भाषाः । प्रकटित विबुधप्रमदाः प्रथयंतु ज्ञानमधुना वः ॥ १ ॥
मुखेभ्यो मुखाच्च लिखितः प्रकटितः उल्लासः प्रसरः । शक्तिरायुधं कवित्वहेतुः प्रतिभाविशेषश्च etc.
अधिगतभाषाषट्को विशेषवल्लक्ष्यलक्षणक्षुण्णः । सुकविछंदो विन्दनिरवद्यं जीयते केन ॥ २ ॥
Fol. 4b : व्यवहरति यया लोकः काश्मीराद्येषु सर्वलोकेषु ।
सा भवति देशभाषा नंता षष्ठी तदानंत्यात् ॥
in the course of explaining this verse the author remarks: तथाच लोष्टदेवेन सर्वज्ञमित्र चारित्रे काश्मीरवर्णनेभाणि ||
भवरोद्धुमपभ्रंशदिशं संस्कृत्य दूरया ।
आद्य सोपानता दिव्यवाण्या यभाषयाहृता ॥ इति
