________________ 237 - Age – Not very old in appearance, though the first 30 leaves seem older than the rest. Author - Mandana, son of Vāhada. Subject A commentary on the Sarasvataprakriyā. - Begins - श्रीसरस्वत्यै नमः। E. Sārasvata उद्यत्सांद्र जिनेंद्रसुंदरपदद्वंद्वप्रसादोद्भवः भूयोभीष्टपुंमर्थसार्थकजनुः श्रीमालमालामणिः । सोयं सोनगिरान्वयः खरतरः श्रीवाइडस्यात्मजः श्रीसारस्वऩमंडनं क्ष्मामंडन मंडनः ॥ १ ॥ (The word in the first line is added later after carefully painting over old word. The word dropped in the 4th line was probably रचयति. It has been carefully smeared over with yellow paint, as also its emendation प्रकुरुते given in the margin ). ........ इह खलु विविधवैयाकरणबुधवर्य विप्रतिपत्तिव्रातव्याकुलितचित्तश्रोत्रि (तृ)जनमनःसमाधानाय परापरगुरुपरदैवत परमाप्तत्मे (?) प्रणतिमयमंगलाचरणपुरःसरं सारस्वतप्रक्रियार्जवं प्रतिजानीते ॥ प्रणम्य etc. On foll. 17a, where the far ends, we have a rather interesting colophon and प्रशस्ति सविग्रहणामुभये स्वराणामिति प्रकृत्या सह साहसानां । श्रीमंडनः सूत्रविदल्मसाहिमहाप्रधानो व्यदधात्सुसंधीन् ॥ सद्यः सांद्र जिनेंद्र सुंदरपदद्वंद्वप्रसादोद्भव - योभीष्टपुमर्थसार्थकजनुः श्रीमालमालामणिः । सोयं सोनगिरान्वयः खरतरः श्रीवाइडस्यात्मजः श्रीसारस्वतमंडनं रचयति क्ष्मामंडनं मंडनः ॥ इति श्रीश्रीमालमाणिक्य श्रीमत्सोनगिरिगोत्रीयखरतराम्नाय मार्गधर्मधुरंधर - श्रीमद्वाहडात्मज सर्व्वविद्याविशारद श्रीमन्मंडनसंघपतिप्रणीते सारस्वतमंडने संधिप्रकरणं समाप्तं ॥ Here the author calls himself संघपति and महाप्रधान to अल्मसाहि. This colophon occurs nowhere else in the Ms. Ends The Ms. abruptly breaks off after a few leaves of the 3rd वृत्ति with the words – न याचते अयाची न व्याहरति अव्याही - Reference See the extract given in Dr. Peterson's report for 1884-86 on p. 204, where the work is said to be by a pupil of मंडनाचार्य.
