Description -Country paper. Devanagari characters of an old type,
bold and legible writing. Fairly correct. Complete. Age-Seems to be a new copy. Author -Canda. Subject - A short grammar of Prakrit. Consists of 4 sections,
named, विभक्तिविधान (foll. 1-7), स्वरविधान (foll. 7-13), व्यंजनविधान (foll. 13-20), and भाषांतर्विधान (!) (fol. 20). The sutras belong to Caņda whereas the short gloss on them to another person. Cf. the colophon on p. 265 of Dr.
Peterson's Report for 1884-86. Begins - श्रीसर्वज्ञाय नमः ॥
प्रणम्य शिरसा वीरं स्वल्पैर्व्यापिभिरक्षरैः । लक्षणं प्राकृतं वक्ष्ये किंचिवृद्धमतादहं ॥१॥ क्वचिल्लोपः क्वचित्संधिः क्वचिद्वर्णविपर्ययः ।
भागमोंतादिमध्येषु लक्ष्यः स्यात्सः सुभाषितात् ॥२॥
सिद्धं प्राकृतं ब्रेधा। Ends - संस्कृतं प्राकृतं चैवापभ्रंशोथ पिशाचकी।
मागधी सूरसेनी च षट्भाषाश्च प्रकीर्तिता ॥१॥ Colophon - इति श्रीचण्डकृतप्राकृतलक्षणे भाषांतर्विधानं तुर्यः समाप्ताः । Reference -See p. 265 of Dr. Peterson's Third Report for another
