Age - Much old in appearance.
Author – The Sūtras, like those of Pānini, were regarded as re vealed to their author by Goddess Sarasvati. अनुभूतिस्वरूपा - चार्य (lit. "A doctor by intuition ") gave by far the best exposition of the Sutras and they often pass under his
name.
Subject – Aphorisms of the Sārasvata grammar. There are 567 of these called in the Ms. the मूलसूत्रs, after which follow some 91 insertions or वार्त्तिकs or वक्तव्यानि as the Ms. calls them, making a total of 658. The as are for the most part taken from अनुभूतिस्वरूपाचार्य though some are not to be found there.

संज्ञा संधिर्विभक्तिश्च युष्मदस्मश्च कारकम् । तद्धितः स्त्रीसमासश्च दशधाख्यातमिष्यते ॥ १ ॥ कृतश्च प्रत्यया धातोर्विभक्त्यंतं पदं स्मृतम् । वाक्यं तत्समुदायश्च सा वाक्कामधुगुच्यते ॥ २ ॥
अइउऋऌ समानाः । ह्रस्वदीर्घप्लुतभेदाः सवर्णाः । एऐओओ संध्यक्षराणि । उभये स्वसः । etc.
Ends - रादिफो वा । लोकाच्छेषस्य सिद्धिः ।
Then follow these two verses :
समुल्लास मतेर्वाचश्चारुता चतुरोचिता । सर्वव्यक्ति व ( ? ) संवादः कथं सारस्वतादृते ॥ १ ॥
बुद्धिः सर्वत्र संपन्ना बुद्धिः संसारतारिणी । बुद्धेरगोचरं नास्ति तस्माद्बुद्धिर्गरीयसी ॥ २ ॥
After these come the वक्तव्यानि :
इत्यत्र वादरण्यानि (?) कानिचित्सारस्वतवकन्यानि लिख्यते ॥
यथासंख्यं वा वक्तव्यम् ॥ १ ॥
गवादेरवर्णागमोऽक्षादौ वक्तव्यः ॥ २ ॥ etc,
