This rule appears to us superfluous when we remember that निस्सरइ and निस्सास can become नीसरइ and नीसास after dropping a member of the conjunct. 94. दुआई 1s द्विजाति in sk. 97. दुहा वि सो सुरवहसत्थो in sk. Is द्विवापि स सुरवधूसार्थ'. 99-106. These rules describe the changes of ई. 104. Compare 11. 72 belor. 107-117. These rules describe the changes of ऊ. 126-144. These rules describe the changes of ऋ. 129. अनुत्तरपदे, Then not as a second member of a compound. Thus, re can have पिट्ठी and पट्टी; पिट्टिपरिविअ when पृष्ठ is the first member of a compound; but महिवढ, महीपृष्ठम् when पृष्ठ second member of a compound. 133. वेन सह, 1. e. the whole syllable a becomes उ. 134. गौणान्त्यस्य 1. e. of the ending ऋ of aa rord which is subordinate (i.e. first member in a negau) in a compound, e.g., मातृमण्डल becomes माउमण्डल and so forth. माउसिआ and पिउसिआ stand respectively for मातृष्वसा and पितृ वसा. See belor ii. 142. पिउवइ is पितृपति, 1.e. god of death. 142. The three कृदन्त terminations, विप् , टक् and सक् added to ay after a pronoun or # respectively form indefinite pronouns ending in दृश् , दृश and दृक्ष; e.g., ईदृश्, ईदृश and ईदृक्ष. The ऋ of दृश in such forms becomes रि. 144. दरिअसीहेण i.e. दृतसिंहेन. - 145. This rule describes the change of ल. किलित्तकुसुमोवयारेसु, i.e. कुप्तकुपुमोपचारेषु. धाराकिलिन्नवत्त आसुरहिकसायकेसरद्धन्तं । परिणमइ बन्धणुच्चियपरिजरढं जूहिआकुसुमं ॥ The sk. of this verse is धाराक्लिन्नपत्रं आसुरभिकषायकेसर वान्तम् । परिणमति बन्धनोचितपरिजरठ यूथिकाकुसुमम् ।
