________________ NOTES-VIII. iv. 351-354. भव्य ( = साधु) भूतं यन्मारितः भगिनि अस्मदीयः कान्तः । अलज्जिष्य तु वयस्याभ्यः यदि भग्नः गृह ऐष्यत् ॥ "It was well, O sister, that my husband was killed ( (in battle): I would have been put to shame in the presence of my friends if he had returned home defeated.", compare भलें Marathi, भला Hindi; महारा and हमारा Compare हमारा Hindi. is the present participle used as conditional form.
