(5) आत्मीय अप्पण. फोडोन्त जे हियडउं = iv 350. (6) दृष्टि देहि. एकैकं यद्यपि पश्यति हरिः सुष्टु सर्वादरेण ।
तथापि दृष्टिः यत्र वापि राधा।
कः शक्नोति संवरीतु नयने नहेन पर्यस्ते ॥ “Although Hari regards each and every object well and with all respect, still his eyes fixed where tar stands. Who is able to check eyes overflowing with love?” (7) गाढ-निचट्ट.
विभवे कस्य स्थिरत्व यौवने कस्य गर्वः ।
स लेखः प्रस्थाप्यते यः लगति गाढम् ॥ “ Who is firm in prosperity? Who can have pride ( मरट्ट ) in youth ? (so) such a letter should be sent as would stick fast ( appeal most )." (8) साधारण सङ्कल.
___ कुत्र शशधरः कुत्र मकरधरः कुत्र बहीं कुत्र मेघः ।
दूरस्थितानामपि सज्जनानां भवति असाधारणः स्नेहः । " What a great distance between the moon and the ocean and between the peacock and the cloud ? There is uncommon friendship of the good persons however distenced they are.' (9) कौतुक = कोड्ड or कुड्ड.
कुन्जरः अन्येषु तरुवरेषु कौतुकेन घर्षति हस्तम् ।
मनः पुनः एक स्यां सलक्यां यदि पृच्छत परमार्थम् ॥ " The elephant passes his trunk on other trees ( only) out of curiosity; but if you ask the truth his heart is fixed on the i plant alone.” (10) क्रीडा = खेड्ड.
क्रीडा कृडा अस्माभिः निश्चयं किं प्रजल्पत ।
अनुरक्ताः भक्ताः अस्मान् मा त्यज स्वामिन् ॥ “Sir, we only played; why do you therefore say this ? Please do not leave us who are attached and devoted to you." (11) रम्य = रवण्ण.
सरिद्भिः न सरोभिः न सरोवरैः नापि उद्यानवनैः । देशाः रम्याः भवन्ति मूर्ख निवसद्भिः सुजनेः ॥
