439. The क्त्वा of the Absolutive is substituted by इ, इउ, इवि, अवि, एप्पि, एप्पिणु, एवि and एविणु.
हृदय यदि वैरिणो घनाः तत् किं अभ्रे ( आकाशे ) आरोहामः ।
अस्माकं द्वौ हस्तौ यदि पुनः मारयित्वा म्रियामहे ॥ "O heart, if our enemies are numerous, are we to scale heavens to kill them? We have two arms; if we are to die we shall die after killing them."
गयघड भजि उ जन्ति=iv. 395. रक्षति सा विषहारिणी तो करौ चुम्बित्वा जीवम्।
प्रतिबिम्बित मजाल जल याभ्यामनवगाहित पीतम् ॥ “ That lady bringing water (fa) preserves her life by kissing those hands that have drunk water with the reflection of मुख (a person-grass) without plunging into it." डोहिउ comes from डोह from which we have डुबणे, डुबणे in Marathi.
' बाह विच्छोट्य याहि त्व, भवतु तथा को दोषः।
हृदयस्थितः यदि निःसरसि जानामि मुख स रोषः॥ "0 मुज, you may go throwing off my arms; let it be so; what harm is there? I shall consider that to be anger it you go out from my heart." The references to ye in the above two verses are regarded by some to the famous king of Malwar ; by others to the minister मुन्ज of a king of the Calukya dynasty. 44D. जित्वा अशेष कषायबल दत्त्वा अभयं जगतः। .
लात्वा महाव्रतं शिवं लभन्ते ध्यात्वा तत्त्वम्॥ “ Having conquered the whole army of passions, having offered protection to the world, having taken the great vow and having meditated upon the highest truth, of the sages ) attain bliss."
. 441. The Infinitive तुम् in अपभ्रंश has the following eight substitutes: viz ; एवं, अण, अणह, अणहिं, एप्पि, एप्पिणु, एवि, and एविणु.
दातुं दुष्करं निजकधनं, कर्तु न तपः प्रतिभाति । एवं सुखे भोक्तुं मनः; परं भोक्तुं न याति ॥.
