295 The Meporialists have prayed that Jain Literature and Philosophy which are by no means inferior to any other existing Literature and Philosophy ought not to be neglected, as hitherto, from the University Arts courses. They ought to receive proper attention at the hands of the University and be prescribed with advantage as Text-books for the several Arts examinations. We are anxiously waiting for the final decision of the application and the magnanimity of the said University.
A Digamber Boarding House has been opened by Seth Hookamchand at Indore, where religious instruction will be given to its resident students who will be also reading English up to the Arts Standard of the Indore College. We draw the immediate attention of our leaders towards the necessity of opening Boarding Houses at Bombay, Akmedabad Ajmre, Lahore and Allahabad as this sort of accomodation furnishes young Jain students ample opportunity of receiving religious training along with their College studies.
धर्मादाके खातोंका हिसाब. श्री जैन श्वेताम्बर कोनफरन्सने जैनियोंके उद्धार और दुर्गतिसे बचानेके वास्ते बारमबार धर्मादा खातोंके हिसाबोंको साफ रखकर प्रगट करने की सूचना दी है. उस हिदायतको उमदा समजकर और उसके मुवाफिक अमल करके गुजरात, काठियावाडके कई कारकुनें अपने २ मतालिक मन्दिर वगरहके हिसाबोंकी परताल करके पत्र द्वारा छपा कर प्रसिद्ध किया है. राजपूतानाकी तरफ या जहां जहां मारवाडी रहते है उन स्थलोंमें अब तक इस कामकी तरफ कुछ कम तवजह मालूम होतीथी परन्तु हम खुशीके साथ प्रगट करते है कि अब नरसिंहपुरके श्रावक हरकचंदजी जीतमलजीने श्री केसरयानाथजी महाराजके मन्दिरका हिसाब इस पत्रमें छपाकर प्रसिद्ध करनेके वास्ते भेजा है कि जो मुनासिब जगह पर इस पत्रमें प्रगट किया गया है. उस हिसाबके देखनेसे नीचे लिखी हुई बातोंका हाल और मालूम होना जरूरी है. १. सम्वत १९३९ तक जो कुछ आमद खर्च हुवा हो उसका मुफस्सिल हिसाब उन महा

की साल में इस मन्दिरके खाते जमा हुई उसका पत्तेवार हिसाब प्रगट होना चाहिये.
