763. The multiple braids of hair, long, thick (fe) and abundant, are often utilised by the ladies to bind tightly (CGTacu) the hands of their erring lovers. The sight of such braids, therefore, gives to our King, their lover, a very powerful (at) longing (avet) to seize their hair (PUSTITE ).

The faithless lover stands before the ladies, as streams of tears flow out from their eyes, washing clean not only their own broad cheeks (गंडवास) but also the image of the erring man (अवरद्ध) reflected in them.
