1107. Plateaus or tablelands (TSTEHT) have now very little light left over them (TTTTTTT). On the other hand their surfaces (3380) look depressed (31703), as they are covered up (लंघण) by the tufts of darkness (तमसिहा) heaving up (ऊससिअ) from caves (FET), in which, they are thickly massed up inside (TEMETUT), and are now trying to escape. As a result, even these tablelands, although elevated, give an illusion of valleys (aprint).
1108. The moonlight (AfATT TOTTT) flows chequered in its illumination, being broken in (alfaguut) by the shadows of the evening twilight. It thus appears variegated ( s) because of the fact that the dark lustre (Hylosgfa) has stretched along (Taft3) the path (HRT) that follows, as it were, the spot (#fout) on the moon. Cf. Com.
1109. The sky is fancied to be the outer shell (3779195) of the primordial egg of Brahma (बंभंड). In course of time (कालंतरेण) it gets tattered (HFUTT) and worn out. As a result its internal covering, bowl-shaped (7975), cracks (53) and becomes porous (faess) and full of holes, which are no other than stars (arctfuraor), seen up above in the firmament.
1111. The sky has, on both its sides, the subdued (7) light of the moon in the east and that of the sun on the west, with black darkness being heaped up (fTFCTATUT) in between (FA). The sky thus looks like a two-edged sword with the bright (FOTFH) two blades (ETCT) on both the sides and the bluish metallic part in between.
1113. Suparna or Garuda is fancied to be the rising mountain (3374gavot). The first task he accomplishes is extinguishing (737) the conflagration viz. the evening twilight (#1 ) by sprinkling (CE) nectar-drops in the form of the clusters of stars (Tarrag) and then he picks up and carries in the sky the nectar-jar (377344148) viz. the moon's orb.
1114. The moon is fancied to be a pinkish (Targ) big lump (free) of candied sugar (ET). The round deer-spot (मअमंडल) is fully visible (पअड), as the swarms of bees (महुअरजाल) in the form of darkness have fied away (उप्पअण).
