940. Men breathe out their grief in sighs caused by affliction. The elephant spouts out his exhaustion ( BRIT) in spray-showers due to exertion (आयासकअ).
941. The joy (EFI) of meeting dear relatives produces tears (are). It is, perhaps on account of the fact that the hearts melt at the thought of impending separation, which fills them with nervousness (at 03T3TT).
942 It is foolish on your part to imagine that the bond of friendship and affection will become loose sometime in future. 943. Alas ! In your meetings (afsuns) you develop deep ties of friendship, closing the distance (fordiae) that existed between you and your friends previously; but after some time you fall apart and, as a result of this split, the distance becomes wider ( Te), like the two ends of a girdle which had joined together, but which, when the girdle ( THOTT) is taken off (SFATE3T), remain far off frora each other.
944. In his childhood, at first man possesses no merits or accomplishments (UT TUT), nor has he the means, instrumental to achieve them (TEST). He is just a lump of clay, yet to be moulded into a shape. Then starts his education, primary secondary and higher, followed by specialisation in the field of his choice. Now, as a finished product, he is hailed and acclaimed as a fine man of merits and accomplishments (que à TTBUTT TTT HE TUTA). Now (HT), after he is dead and gone, his merits alone remain in the memory of the people for sometime (alt T 3T). Afterwards, alas, even these merits also are forgotten (as in the cases of great patriots like Tilak, Gandhi, Tagore or Nehru - ) (णवर हा ते उण ण संति).
