भगवती सूत्रम् सः ८ उः ७
तणं ते अण्णउत्थिया ते थेरे भगवंते एवं वयासी—केणं कारणेणं अज्जो ! अम्हे अदिष्णं गेण्हामो जाव... ... एगंतबाला या वि भवामो ?

Heretics "Aryas! How do you say that we accept things not duly bestowed, till we are fools ?”
तएणं ते थेरा भगवंतो ते अण्णउत्थिए एवं वयासी - तुब्भे ( ब्भं ) णं अज्जो ! दिज्जमाणे अदिण्णे तं चैव जाव... गाहावइस्स णं तं णो खलु तं तुब्भं । तएवं तुझे अदिण्णं गेहह तं चेव जाव... एगंतबाला या विभवह ।
Senior monks- " Aryas ! In your view, a thing which is in the process of being given has not been given', till when stolen, it is not your thing, but the householder's thing which has been stolen. Hence you accept things not duly bestowed, till you are fools.”
तणं ते अण्णउत्थिया ते थेरे भगवंते एवं वयासी - तुब्भे णं अज्जो ! तिविहं तिविहेणं अस्संजय जाव... एगंतबाला या वि भवह ।
Hergtics – “ Aryas ! By three modes and three means, you are unrestrained, till you are fools."
तणं ते थेरा भगवंतो ते अण्णउत्थिए एवं वयासी- केणं कारणेणं अज्जो ! अम्हे तिविहं तिविहेणं जाव... एगंतबाला या वि भवामो ?
Senior monks-"Aryas! How do you say that by three modes and three means, we are unrestrained, till we are. fools ?"
तएण ते अण्णउत्थिया ते थेरे भगवंते एवं वयासी - तुब्भे णं अज्जो !
यं रीयमाणा पुढविं पेच्चेह अभिहणह वत्तेह लेसेह संघाएह संघट्टेह परित्तावेह किलामेह उद्दवेह । तएणं तुब्भे पुढविं पेच्चमाणा अभिहणमाणा जाव... उद्दवेमाणा तिविहं तिविद्देणं असंजयविरय जाव... एगंतबाला यावि भवह ।
