The highest of knowers remains firmly established as the eternal, pure, intelligent and blissful ātman after burning this body outright in the fire of unchanging Brahman which is the ever existent ātman.
sadātmani: in one's real nature which is unsublatable in any of the three periods of time.
paridahya samūlam vahnau sadātmani Brahmani nirvikalpe: Burning this body from its roots along with ajñāna in the fire of the unchanging Brahman.
vidvarişthaḥ: those who know are vidaḥ; teşām varişthaḥ: the superior among vidvāns is vidvaristhah. For one who remains as eternal, pure, intelligent and blissful, never will there be reflection of the anātman in him.

Let this body fashioned by prārabdha-karmas go away or remain like the garland round the neck of a cow. The knower of Truth does not care for it again, his mental functions being merged in Brahman which is compacted of bliss.
prayātu tişthatu vā: let it go or remain, the cow is unconcerned about it.
prārabdha-sūtra-grathitam sariram: the prārabdha itself is the string; the physical body made with it. A simile is given to this:
sūtragrathitā srakiva: like a garland tied in a rope (round the neck of a cow as an adornment).
The cow has no attachment to it; but others consider it an adornment to it. Before Brahmasākşātkāra arises, the body is made V.C.--27
