________________ Sampatraj Bachhawat Our School : A Journey down the Memory Lane give fifty thouand within two years without any interest." That time fund raising was a difficult task. Donation came and Ms. Chaturbhuj Hanuman Mal asked only as trickles his brothers to donate. Phusharajji went to Bikaner twice or thrice to have the sanction of a loan of fifty thousand from Sadhu Margi Sabha. Shri Jeth Matji Sethia sanctioned the loan and told my father that he was giving it on his behalf to the Sabha. Some loans were collected from the local people of which some of it was given as donation. The foundation stone was laid by Shri Deep chandji Kankaria, a good personality and clean hearted. As the time of construction members appointed Suraj Malji Bachhawat to see the construction work. Shri Uday Chand Daga was appointed manager, a very honest man. One day he came and said that the fund had exhausted. Hiralal Bachhawat asked his fellow ex-students to give some money that was promptly given and ladies also collected money. One day at a meeting Suraj Malji met Shanti Prasadji Jain and asked him to visit the school. He said "I have no time". Then the brother told him, "Well Sahuji, when you have no time, people will come to you. When you will have time no one will come." Sahuji laughed and came to school. The construction was closed owing to lack of funds. Sahuji asked what amount was required to finish that. He gave the money and that part of construction was completed. After completion of school we had to approach Shri Vijay Singhji Nahar for helping the school in all departments. He was very helpful and came to school many times. He was Deputy Chief Minister so his help was most needed. Now the search for a Principal began. The appointment of Shri Ramanandji Tewari was a wonderful job. He retired recently. He was man of good personality and discipline. He maintained a good standard during his tenure. Decoration of hall was taken by Shri Deep Chandji Kankaria. He sent his artists and masons to beautify the hall. The hall is a unique one. All the members who have helped the school in any way are welcome and to be thanked. Memory goes to the past when at a meeting students sang a song asking the members of the Society to have a beautiful shcool. After that the working Committee passed a resolution to seek a plots of land for a school. Shri Kishan Lalji Kankaria, Ajit Malji Parakh, Sri Phushrajji Bachhant, Tolaramji Mini consulted among themselves and authorised Shri Phush Rajji Bachhawat to look for the land. On going to 27th College Street he met Prabhu Das Bhai and asked him to help in getting a plot for a school. He promptly siad that, "Come along". He took him to his freind and asked him to show the plot. After seeing the plot, father advised to consult other members, too Prabhu Das Bhai asked father to take the land. But a difficulty arose. The land was already given to Shri Magan Malji Parakh. A deputation went to the office of Magan Malji Parakh and after much persuasion he agreed to give the land. He gave some money as donation also. There was a paucity of fund. So the land lord was told about this difficulty.
