We are very grateful to the authorities of the Bharatiya Jñanapitha especially to its enlighted President, the late Smt. Ramadevi Jain and to its benign Patron, Shriman Sahu Shanti Prasadaji for arranging the publication of this work during the 2500th Nirvana Mahotsava year in honour of Bhagavān Mabăvīra. It is through their generosity that a number of rare works in Sanskrit, Prakrit, Apabhramsa etc. have seen the light of day. Our thanks are due to Shri Lakshmi Chandra Jain who is enthusiastically implementing the scheme of publications undertaken by the Jñana prtha.
The authorities of the Sanmati Mudranalaya, Vārānasi, are doing their best to bring out these works in a neat form; and we owe our thanks to them as well.

P.S. - It is with a heavy heart that the General Editors remember with gratitude the late lamented Smt. Rama Jain who was the live spirit behind all the activities of the Jñānapitha. Her sad demise ( 22-7-75) is an irreparable loss to the Jñanapītha family. May her Soul rest in Peace !.
